Greetings to you all from Los Angeles and thank you for allowing us to communicate with you.

We continue in the process; and now we are shifting to exit mode! It really isn’t easy to shift to this mode after almost 10 years in the same house, but…

… Here we go…!!!

In our previous letter we shared with you what was happening in our first exit steps and our closing of the Los Angeles, California chapter of the Palavicini Worsfold family. Now here are the updates.

Barbie had a couple of nice and emotive farewell parties at Fuller. One was organized by the Latino students and the other for the staff offered by the Hispanic Church Studies Director, Dr. Juan Martinez.

It has not been easy for her to adjust to this new stage; going back to trusting in God, Jehovah Jireh, our provider. But… she is working on it. On the other hand I am very happy because I missed her working at my side.

About Mall Latino: after meeting with the leaders and members talking about the level of commitment required to continue with the Project, the group decided to close the project because they realized it would be hard to take care of it added to their multiple responsibilities.

Our last service, very nice but painful and emotive, was on Sunday, September the 17th. We still hope the group will come together again and rebuild a new ministry, if it’s the Lord’s will

It has not been easy; every church planter expects the church he planted to grow. I still believe they can do it.
I want to thank my wife and my daughters for all the effort and sacrifices made, the Vasquez family for they were our unconditional support from the beginning and all those who pitched in this ministry with smiles and tears, All Nations Church for believing, trusting and becoming our church in Los Angeles, California.

With pain in our hearts but with expectation, we now focus on our next step. It’s time to hoist our anchor and set sails once again.

Continuamos en el proceso; ahora la marcha esta en el modo de ¡salida! En realidad no es fácil caminar en esa modalidad después de casi 10 años de vivir en la misma casa pero

¡¡¡… Aquí Vamos…!!!

En la carta anterior compartimos con ustedes lo que estaría sucediendo en la etapa del inicio de la salida y clausura del capitulo Los Ángeles California en la vida de la familia Palavicini Worsfold, ahora aquí viene los updates.

Barbie tuvo un par fiestas de despedida muy lindas y emotivas en Fuller. Una organizada por de los estudiantes latinos y la otra a nivel de toda la institución ofrecida por el director del depto hispano Dr. Juan Fco Martínez.
No ha sido fácil para ella ajustarse a esta etapa, la cual le requiere volver a ejercitar la confianza en Jehová Jireh, el proveedor. Pero,… lo esta haciendo con existo. Por otro lado yo estoy muy felíz pues me hacia mucha falta tenerla trabajando a mi lado.

Con respecto a Mall Latino, los lideres y miembros después de una reunión en la que hablamos claramente del nivel de compromiso que el proyecto requería, tomaron la decisión de clausurarlo dado que no podrían atenderlo por sus ocupaciones.

Nuestro último servicio, muy lindo, emotivo y doloroso se realizó el domingo 17 de Septiembre. Todavía guardamos las esperanzas que el grupo se vuelva a rearmar y edifiquen un nuevo ministerio si es la voluntad del Señor.

No ha sido fácil pues, el deseo de todo plantador de iglesias es verla desarrollarse, sigo creyendo que si pueden pero requiere de un poco mas de sacrificio de todos.

Agradezco, a mi Esposa y mis hijas por todo el esfuerzo y sacrificios realizados, a la familia Vásquez, pues fueron nuestro apoyo incondicional desde el principio y a todos los demás que llevaron este ministerio con lágrimas y sonrisas, también a All Nations Church, por creer, confiar y convertirse en nuestra iglesia en Los Ángeles California.

Con dolor en el alma y con alegría expectante ahora nos dedicaremos a la siguiente etapa. Es tiempo de elevar las anclas y extender las velas hacia el otro puerto.
