Ministrando a Amsterdam

El día Martes 22 de Mayo del año 2007 arribamos a la ciudad de Amsterdam, Holanda- el país de los molinos y los tulipanes. Este arribo fue un milagro más que Dios operó.

Al llegar a Los Ángeles nos hospedamos con la Familia Sancho, ¡Muchas Gracias! Nos dimos con la sorpresa que debíamos conseguir $5,000 para cancelar la cuenta de Motocicleta pues por alguna razón extraña que nunca logra-os esclarecer el banco sacó la cuenta de circula-ción y por eso no pudimos hacer los pagos mensuales después de Noviembre. Fue una pesadilla, pues desde el día que llegamos tratamos de solucionar el problema pero las personas a cargo del caso fueron impertinentes e intolerables, solo presionaban en tonos amena-zantes, creo que fue demoníaco. Al fin tuvimos que recurrir a la tarjeta de crédito y el dinerito que habíamos ahorrado para los boletos a Amsterdam. Esta fue la manera que encon-tramos para salir en paz de EEUU.

Para agravar la situación al buscar los boletos aéreos resultó que los precios se habían elevado a más del doble del precio que habíamos visto días antes ahora, no bajaban de $1,200.00 por persona. Fue cuando escribimos la nota de auxilio.

Muchísimas gracias a todos ustedes que oraron y aportaron su grano de arena a la emergencia. El Señor respondió y la iglesia ANC (All Nations Church), se hizo cargo de los trámites aéreos quitándonos la carga de encima, que gran bendición.

Hicimos maletas, pagamos el sobrepeso y llegamos a Ámsterdam en las fechas pactadas con la EDE de Costa Rica. Una vez en la ciudad nos unimos con ellos en la cruzada, fuimos a la plaza central, a las hermanas de la caridad, a De Cleft, para alimentar a los indigentes de la cuidad, etc.

Pasamos tiempos muy especiales con ellos. Para Karissa y Fiorella fue muy especial llegar acá y encontrar gente conocida y amada. Durante las próximas 6 semanas Barbie y Yo estaremos finalizando con los requisitos de la cruzada para concluir y completar la EDE.

Estaremos visitando a las hermanas de la Caridad (M. Teresa de Calcuta). De Cleft, para compartir con los indigentes, mientras Barbie se involucrará con la sección de ministerio de las damas de las vitrinas o las de la calle. Y ambos estaremos en la adoración e intercesión del Tabernáculo de oración, y visitando los cafés y clubes durante el fin de semana.

Ahora es tiempo empezar a sumergirnos en el Nuevo contexto donde vivimos, es tiempo de aprender a vivir aquí y aceptarlo, conocer la ciudad, las actividades y la vida de la gente, esta etapa se esta haciendo difícil para las chicas principalmente Karissa. Estaremos viviendo en casa de Armando Benner (Director) hasta Septiembre que ellos regresan y se espera tener listo un apartamento para nosotros entonces.

No se olviden de orar durante esta etapa por: Fortaleza, Flexibilidad para adaptarnos, Dirección, Protección y Sabiduría del Señor

On Tuesday, May 22 of the present year we arrived at Amsterdam, Holland, the land of the windmills and tulips. The fact that we arrived here is another of God’s miracles. When we got to Los Angeles on May 8th, we stayed at the Sancho’s house. Thank you very much! We found out then that we needed to gather $5,000 to pay off our motorcycle. For some reason, we don’t know yet, the bank closed our account so we were not able to continue with the monthly payments starting November. It was a nightmare. From the day we arrived we tried to solve this problem but the persons who were in charge of our account were intolerable and very rude. They just pressured us and were not willing to come to any arrange-ment. It totally took away all peace. We had to use our credit card and use the money we had saved to buy the plane tickets. This was the only way we found to leave the U.S. in peace. To make things worse, we found out that the plane tickets had gone way up, the lowest was $1,200.00 each. That’s when we wrote the S.O.S. letter. Thanks to all of you that prayed for us and sent in an offering for the emergency. The Lord responded and ANC (All Nations Church), also helped us out with the tickets taking away that great burden. What a blessing! We packed, paid excess weight and arrived in Amsterdam on the dates we agreed upon with our DTS in Costa Rica. Once we arrived, we joined the outreach: we went to a central plaza, to the sisters of Charity, to De Cleft to feed the homeless, etc. We had a really good time with them. It was very special for Karissa & Fiorella to get here and find people they knew and loved. These next 6 weeks Barbie & I will finish up the requirements of the outreach to complete and conclude the DTS. We will visit the sisters of Charity (M. Teresa de Calcutta), De Cleft to share with the homeless, and Barbie will be involved in the ministry of the women at the windows and on the streets.

We will both be involved in worship and intercession of the Tabernacle of prayer and visiting cafes and clubs during the weekends. Now it is time to submerge in the new context where we live, it’s time to learn to live here and accept it, to get to know the city, its activities and the way of life. This part is becoming hard for the girls, especially Karissa. We will be living in Armando Benner‘s house (director) until September when they come back and hope to have and apartment available for us then. Don’t forget to pray for us in this stage: asking for strength, flexibility to adapt, direction, protection and wisdom from God. You can send your donations:
