¿NUESTRA SITUACIÓN?

Vete de tu tierra y de tu parentela… le dijo Dios a Abram y se fue. Gen 12 :1-4. Así como Abraham, hemos andado.

Hoy, después de 9 meses hemos llegado a tener un lugar donde vivir y establecer nuestra casa. Es un lindísimo apartamento en el primer piso de un edificio del año 1680 asignado al ministerio del Tabernáculo de Oración” con vista al canal y la Iglesia antigua de Amsterdam (Oude Kerk).

Karissa y Fiorella tienen cada una su propia habitación a la cual están imprimiendo su estilo e identidad con sus decoraciones. Barbie y yo estamos haciendo lo mismo con nuestra habitación y como familia con la sala, comedor y cocina. ¡GRACIAS SENOR!

¿Que hemos hecho?

Hemos terminado nuestra EDE con éxito, un poco cansados pero felices. En Septiembre, que se presentan los nuevos miembros del personal, seremos presentados.

Durante este tiempo en Amsterdam hemos podido empezar a conocer la ciudad, su vitalidad, dinamismo, y características. Ya conocemos a algunos de los indigentes que viven en la calle, nos hablamos, reímos etc. Barbie conoce más a las chicas de las vitrinas y entiende mejor su situación.

También estamos observando las diferencias de ambientes en los lugares que ministramos como plazas y clubes nocturnos que visitamos los fines de semana buscando hacer amigos, a los cuales les compartiremos el Evangelio. Ya tenemos algunos contactos que estamos tratando de dar seguimiento. Aquí no se puede presionar a la gente, la amistad, las relaciones, son la clave del ministerio.

¿QUE VIENE?

Primero que todo, este Lunes 13 de Agosto tenemos la cita en migración para el asunto de nuestra residencia. Debemos presentarnos como familia, con fotos, documentos y 800 Euros en efectivo, unos mil y resto de dólares

así que esperamos la provisión del Señor y así podremos movilizarnos tanto dentro del país como en el resto de Europa y más.

Segundo: Nuestro involucramiento de lleno en los ministerios: Ethnos, Tabernáculo de oración, Nations 2 Nations (lo cual es la visión general de la base) y trabajo voluntario ocasional en De Cleft.

Tercero: El aprendizaje del idioma. Fiorella y Karissa entrarán a la escuela en un par de semanas. Empezamos un curso de holandés en la base pero solo hemos tenido 3 clases así que creo que no será suficiente para ir a la escuela. Confiamos en que el programa bilingüe les ayude.

Cuarto: He recibido una invitación de parte del director de la Base, Armando Benner, para ir a ministrar a Taiwán los primeros 9 días de Septiembre. Como familia oramos y creemos que, si el Señor provee, debo hacerlo.

Familia Palavicini Worsfold OUR SITUATION? Go from your country… and your father’s household… God told Abram and he left… Gen 12:1-4. Like Abram, we have gone. Today, after 9 months we have a place we can call our home. It’s a beautiful apartment on the second floor of a building built in 1680 assigned to the ministry Tabernacle of Prayer, right in front of a canal and of the oldest Church in Amsterdam (Oude Kerk). Karissa & Fiorella each have their own room where they are showing their own style and identity. Barbie & I are doing the same in our room and as a family we are working on our kitchen, living room and dinning room. Thanks, Lord! What have we done? We have finished our DTS successfully, a bit tired, but happy. We will be presented in September with all the new staff members. During this time in Amsterdam we have been able to get to know the city, its vitality, dynamism and characteristics. We have met some of the homeless, we talk to them, laugh, etc. Barbie has gotten to know the girls (prostitutes) at the windows and understands their situation a bit more. We are also observing the differences in each place we minister like the plazas, night clubs we visit during the weekend making friends, to whom we share the Gospel. We have some contacts and are working on follow up. We can’t be pushy here, friendship, relationships are the key to ministry. WHAT’S NEXT?First of all, this Monday, August 13 we have the interview at Immigration about our residence. We must show up as a family with pictures, documents and 800 euros cash, more than $1,000. So, we await God’s provision so we can move around inside and outside the country, Europe and more. Second: Our involvement in the different ministries: Ethnos, Tabernacle of Prayer, Nations 2 Nations (the general vision of the base) & occasional voluntary work at The Cleft.

Third: Learning the language. Fiorella & Karissa start school in a couple of weeks. We started a Dutch class at the base but we’ve only had 3 classes, so it’s not enough to go to school. We trust the bilingual program will help them.

Fourth: I have been invited by Armando Benner, the director of the Base, to go to Taiwan with him to minister on the first 9 days of September. As a family we prayed about it and we believe that if the Lord provides, I should go.
