Dear Friends,
We greet you from the humid city of San Jose, Costa Rica. We had forgotten what it was like to live here during the rainy season, we are as wet as fish every day.
It is always nice to come back to our home land. It’s exciting to drive down its streets, to relive images we had in our minds and remember events that left a print in our lives.
It all sounds romantic and ideal but the truth is that in the midst of all these experiences we still feel like we are from here and from there, or maybe it is that we are not from here and not from there, anymore. This means we are still struggling to be re inserted into our culture and going through reverse culture shock in Costa Rica: at the same time we have to remember that we are only going to be here a short time.
Well, anyways, we have enjoyed our time here until now, we have spent time with our parents and relatives in general, because we still are not dedicating time to visit friends. We decided to take it easy because we came exhausted from Los Angeles, and we needed to take a break.
We had a rough take off from Los Angeles, we weren’t able to finish packing everything we had in what was our home for almost 10 years. It is not easy to get used to the idea that we are not “coming home”, even though we are home but not really home, living in a house that is not our house.
Well, anyways, we are very, very grateful to the Lord for each and everyone of you who have been a part of our family and with every one of our relatives who have always had their homes open and received us with abundant love, thank you , thank you. Thank you Lord, for this pilgrimage in and around the world.
Well, we only wanted to communicate with you and open our hearts for a moment. We ask your prayers and company on this adventure of eternal value. Roy will be in L.A. for a few days finishing up all that was left and packing up. He will be there from Dec. 1-6
